Is growing up fast! Her hair is growing fast too... I can now pull back almost all of it into a ponytail! She still loves to read and now instead of choosing toys she frequently pulls out a book, walks around with it for a bit before finding a nice spot to sit and open it up (often my lap) and either babbles like she's reading it to herself or persists on sitting on me with the open book until I read it.

She is trying a little more to talk and for hat or hot she says, "ha." For nose, "noe."
Her "eye" is pretty good and "baby" is probably the most clear even though it sounds like beebee. She's a great little signer too... see below for a list of words she knows and signs frequently.
Miriam loves her dad and watches from the window to see him leave and come home from work. When he comes back home she will run up to the door and as soon as he comes in, instead of running up to give him a hug, she starts twirling. It is so funny! We have no idea where she learned this but I can't help but think of a little dog so excited it starts to chase it's tail.
Little miss Miri loves to put necklaces on all by herself and is getting used to her long hair. She will brush it out of her face and try to put her headbands on by herself too. She also loves the sunglasses that her aunt Amber bought her. She loves that she can actually see without her blue eyes hurting when we go out in the sun but enjoys them just as much indoors. At least for five minutes or so :-) She likes them up on her forehead too and she's a pretty stylin' girl!

Is a boy! Everything is a game to him and he loves to have fun and laugh. He constantly has bruises on his forehead, chins, and arms. A favorite past-time is tackling his sister. Usually this results in laughter from both of them but occasionally his tactics are a little much and little girl can only cry to try and get away.

He has a softer side too. He likes to wrap up his bunny in a blanket and carry it around and give it hugs and kisses just like Miriam does with her baby. The first few times his "Dapper Dan" or stuffed rabbit came out of it's blanket- he started to wail until it was safely secured again- it was pretty funny. He will come and put his head on my lap to rest and gives great hugs. He also gives extremely slobbery kisses and sometimes thinks part of giving a kiss is to bite the persons cheek.
He will point to his dad, sister, and himself at the right times when we ask him where that person is in the room. He points to himself again when you ask, "Where's Mom?" Any guesses who taught him this game??

He is a very friendly kid and will wave at anyone and everyone. He hasn't quite figured out yet that if someone's back is turned they can't see him wave and won't wave back. I have to admit he does have a winning smile and with those long dark lashes, defined eyebrows, and deep blue eyes, he is hard to resist! I like hearing, "He is the cutest little boy I've ever seen!" from teenage girls and "He is SO darling! Look at those eyes!" from moms and "What a little charmer! I wish I had those lashes" from grandma types. :-)
His quirk lately is that if his sock comes partially or all the way off he will come up to one of us and hold it up and tell us in his way to put it back on. Sometimes when I ask him to come I can only get him to do so by bribing him with putting his socks on! One time when I peeked in at him after waking from his nap he was trying to put on a sock by himself. It was painful to watch but pretty cute at the same time. He just couldn't get it no matter how hard he tried. He finally resorted to using his teeth to open the sock but that didn't work either.
Both
They like to climb and make messes, crawl into little make-shift forts, play with phones, and splash in the bath. Standing over the vent when the air is on after getting out of the tub is a must :-) They both know to get their shoes, coat, and hat when they want to go outside, and sometimes will stand by the door with all of these items close by or in their hand.
They're learning how to get reactions out of mom by throwing their food on the floor at mealtimes or violently smearing it all over their tray and knocking it onto the floor that way. When Dad is home they like to watch Youtube videos of Sesame street songs, baby animals, or the intro to Hawaii 5-0 on the laptop.
In the picture they are watching an ice skating monkey. hahaThey are SLOWLY getting better at sharing with each other and sometimes if they know or think that the other wants something, they will go over and hand it to them and then make the sign for 'thank you.' I enjoy those moments :-)

I'm sure I've forgotten a few others. They're both getting better at communicating to us what they want and it is fun to see them learn so fast!
